Protecting Families
As a husband and father raising a family here, Josh understands that public safety decisions affect real people — neighbors, children, and families who want to live and work in peace.
Lifelong Rhea County resident. 24 years of law enforcement experience. Running to deliver professional leadership, clear accountability, and a Sheriff's Office this community can trust.
Rhea County deserves a Sheriff's Office that is consistent, professional, and trusted — where the public gets answers, deputies have clear leadership, and standards are applied fairly every day.
As a husband and father raising a family here, Josh understands that public safety decisions affect real people — neighbors, children, and families who want to live and work in peace.
The Sheriff's Office should stay focused on the mission: professional, lawful enforcement and reliable service across the county — not headlines or distractions.
Trust is earned through clear expectations, accountability, and respectful treatment. Josh is committed to leading with consistency and strengthening confidence the right way.
Each priority has one purpose: a safer Rhea County and a Sheriff's Office that operates with professionalism, accountability, and community trust.
Lead from the front with clear expectations across every division. Build a command structure grounded in operational experience so decisions are practical and informed.
Maintain consistent standards, clear communication, and professional conduct. Accountability is not punishment — it's the foundation for trust and good policing.
Focus resources on the calls that impact families and neighborhoods most. Support deputies with training, supervision, and clear guidance in the field.
Treat people with respect until the situation demands otherwise. Apply lawful enforcement with sound judgment — tailored to the facts of each call.
Strengthen CIT-informed response methods and improve partnerships with mental health providers to reduce harm and improve outcomes during crisis calls.
A Sheriff's Office that improves every day — through training, leadership development, and a culture that takes pride in doing the job correctly.
Josh Jordan has spent his entire life in Rhea County — not just working here, but building a family, forming lifelong relationships, and serving the community he calls home.
He's a graduate of Rhea County High School (Class of 2000) and holds an Associate of Applied Science in Business from Chattanooga State, graduating with honors. His career spans corrections, patrol, investigations, supervision, school safety, and crisis response — built from the ground up over 24 years.
